I just wanted to know how many of the readers in Joeville are cashing in on holiday traffic? You know…Novemeber through the start of January 2009 is usually “holiday buying season”.
You get all the black friday sales or day after thanksgiving, whatever you call it. You also have all the Christmas shopping going on, and even New Year’s Day sales!
I know many affiliate marketers do great at this time, people are buying, everyone is buying, online and offline. I also know niche marketers do well, with their adsense style sites by posting up content that people are looking for during this period.
One of the dudes that really gets this done, in a great way is my buddy Garry Conn. He has a blog that he runs year round, listing the best online deals…and as you can imagine, his numbers soar around holiday sales!
Some people plan all year for this one period, and their bank accounts thank them. I had been planning on doing something since the summer, but lately, I’ve been caught up in so many projects that I completely forgot about it!
I got something setup recently, to see what happens…but I know I’m going to start planning this year, for next years holiday season, and try to take advantage of all the holidays throughout the year.

I have made up a site and used storestacker to help build pages
this is kinda an experiment
i used the listedinstantly tactics,……..
but it took a friggin week for google to even list my site.
anyway the site is
http://shop-blackfriday.com and we’ll see how the season rocks.
thanks and take care

Sup Bryan! Yeah man, I like storestacker…well, I like how it looks, I haven’t used it myself. I wonder if the method takes a bit longer on higher competition keywords maybe? I know black friday is a pretty competitive market. I’ll be asking how it’s going cuz I’m very interested…especially in the storestacker site.

@Normal Joe – Storestacker rocks, I just wonder if the structure of the site pisses off google, i mean when you can Zap out 1200 pages of affiliate linked products in about 5 minutes, something may not sit well with Big brother Google.
I will keep you posted,
I plan to use it on some more of my less time sensitive domains and to build with more content,
see if they like that better.
thanks and take care

The link to where I got the amazon script is located near the bottom of the Shopping Portal -it may take a bit of tweaking if you plan to use it.
No sales as of yet because I just installed it, but have already recieved some unique visitors. My marketing strategy is to use what’s been working for me: comment marketing(on shopping/ecommerce sites of course)
I also plan to use Adbrite’s inline ad service because it too has worked well for me in the past. I use to get great conversions with ebay aff on my other online shopping creations using a service that redirected expired domain traffic to them until ebay dumped me

Oops! I said Abrite’s inline ads when I meant to say Adbrite’s interstitial ads.
These are the ads displaying your full site page throughout the pages of other sites within Adbrite’s publisher network. For example: a publisher can set their interstitials so that after you’ve clicked through a certain number of pages(say after 5 pages) ,then your full page will instantly display.
Of course, you would only run your interstitials with those publishers that are in the same niche as you.
