Are you taking advantage of time in your business?

As entrepreneurs and small business owners, we don’t always get the time we want or think we “need” to work on our business.

Running your own thing requires you to be involved in tons of different aspects and sometimes you feel you just “don’t have time” to work on your marketing.

That couldn’t be further from the truth!

No matter how much time we get to work on our business, take advantage of it. If it’s 8  hours, 2 hours, or even 30 minutes, don’t look at it as “how little time you have” but look at it as “what can I do with this time I have on my hands”.

Don’t get it twitsted though, I’m not saying spend all your free time on your business….but that just because you end up with only 30 minutes to actually work ON your business instead of IN it today…don’t just write that off…get some marketing done.

Do a video, do some networking, finish that article, do something…don’t waste that time yo!

Let me know what you think!

    Great post Joe

I started keeping a sheet of things I accomplished due to this very reason, feeling I did not have enough time.

When I had little time to work on my business I began to feel frustrated and felt like what I did do was not enough. The check sheet helped me to show that each day no matter what the time span I achieved something. Really helped with the frustration.

    Thanks for the tips

That is AWESOME and very smart! Not only do you get things done, but you get some motivation by seeing the things you’ve accomplished in your sheet! Great tip Jenny!

Joe, I feel you on the time and we definitely have to stay at it EVERYDAY, even for like 15 minutes as you say. But I just had a moment to work ON my business and I decided to get a Cup of Joe!

    That’s what’s up!

    I’m with Joe!

Yeah son! Get it! I’m not saying all work and no play either! Just saying, we often like to have a “schedule” but sometimes it just doesn’t work out…doesn’t mean we can throw the day away because we don’t have all the time we want!

Joe…what if it’s the opposite? What if I can’t seem to find 30 minutes, an hour, 2 hours to take a break? What if 16 hours a day on my business doesn’t seem to be enough??? What if my monthly coffee bill is over $1,000 a month just so I can keep it movin’….what if…..what if Joe???

Help a brotha out man! lol

Maybe you are right – the trick is to have right approach to work and to life. I would also add from myself to always have time for a break ;) When you work 8 hrs you need a moment for yourself to rest, put thoughts together and catch some cosmic energy ;) Making breaks is very important and not everyone knows about that fact. And I’m saying that not because I’m just lazy, I’ve seen some positive effects on myself.

Yes, I agree…breaks are important! I’m all about the breaks! It goes both ways for me…I just hate to see people not do ANYTHING because the day didn’t go according to their plans!

I totally agree with your wise words. I have noticed myself recently that I am not utilizing my time efficiently. I mean at end of day I am not satisfied with number of tasks or goals I am attaining. As Internet marketer its very important that times are not wasted and more work are done in less time.

Right now I am using toodledo.com which I started using when it was suggested by you in your earlier post. Thanks 4 that.
