What Tools Should You Use In Your Business?

Yeah, there’s a lot of tools and products being promoted everyday.

Some people promote a new “must have” product every other day.

I don’t.

Forget all the hype, all the “magic pills” and all the bull.

Since I started in March 2008 I’ve spent MY money on tons of products, memberships, softwares, and other stuff…below is MY list of what works.

No need to buy a new product every day or week, constantly looking for that golden ticket.  These products work, if you put in the work, and each has a specific purpose in my business.

Don’t  believe me?  You can waste YOUR money trying stuff yourself.  When you get sick of wasting your time and money, come back here for the stuff that really works.

Marketing  Tools

No need to have tons and tons of resources, just the best.  These are the “hometown favorites” in Joeville picked for their constant contribution to my own business.

Seductive Selling - No matter what type of business you run, this is one newsletter no serious entrepreneur should be without.  Learn how to hit the psychological triggers that cause your prospects to buy.

Gravitational Marketing – learn how to ATTRACT customers to your business, instead of chasing them like everyone else does. This is a must have resource for every entrepreneur.

Honest Riches – this ebook got me started. Holly covers everything about internet marketing, research, affiliates, etc. Wonderful person and wonderful book. Must have for every online marketer. This is really for those that want to make a business of marketing on the internet as opposed to business owners looking to take their business online.

Web Tools

These are the various tools I reccommend you use for managing your web presence

Affiliate Theme – This is THE Wordpress theme to use if you’re marketing online.

Hostgator.com – top notch web hosting with plenty of space and features, perfect for marketers.

Aweber – the best email  newsletter and mailing list management system around.

OIO Publisher - manage your own ads on your sites and get paid directly via paypal.

Productivity Tools

These tools help you stay productive.

Reader’s Edge – this is a speed reading software that will show you how to read faster while comprehending what you read. See the speed reading case study.

Mindmeister – online mindmapping software, I use it daily to track my ideas, plans, goals, and more. Love it.

Toodledo – free online todo list software.  Allows you to make a list of tasks, and assign them to projects, to keep yourself straight

Outright – this software allows you to keep track of your expenses and income for free.  It even calculates your taxes and allows you to make tax payments.

I’ll take a look at books you recommend, have you had any success using adsense at all. That’s my preferred method at the minute.

A couple of months ago, I searched high and low for simple, affordable, dependable ecover software package. I finally found Box Shot 3D. I think it’s great!

And I’ve always touted 1and1.com. Though they keep inching up their prices, I still dig (did I just say “dig”?) that they offer free privacy. Gotta have that in your life. :)

Hi, Joe. Did you ever try the affiliate theme. I heard some good things about it. Some people also say that it just has so fixed frame. It can be very good as a landing page but not good for normal bolging site. what is your opinion?

    Reply

    Normal Joe (2055 comments) Reply:

I don’t think it’s really for a normal style blogging site, more for a site based on a specific topic that is good for product promotion. You can definitely use it for a normal site, but there are better/free blogs if that’s all ya want :)

    Hey Joe,

    You’re sharp.

And the reason why is due to something that apparently comes naturally to you.

It’s your personality and your expression of it.

And it’s what can make all the difference in today’s advertising.

By injecting so much of your personality into all you do (take your “I could put a random ad…” banner, for example), you show the world that you’re a real person… not another faceless and cold business website.

And just like any popular radio talk show or TV program: it makes people eventually feel as if they KNOW you personally.

    Meaning?

Trust. The coveted emotion that paves the way to greater sales.

It’s a good lesson for ANY marketer or ANY product or service.

Let people know who you are. Speak to them “personally.” Show them you’re human. You don’t always need a script. Talk from the heart. Let yourself get excited about what you’re selling. It’s contageous.

    Bravo, Joe!

    Continued Success!
