IMwithJoe goals for the week of July 7, 2008

By Normal Joe | July 7, 2008

Hey,are you new here? You should subscribe to my RSS feed miss out on any goodness!

I didn’t have a chance to do my usual IMwithJoe weekly review so, I’m going to lay out my goals for this coming week.

I plan to start back up with my little series on Secret Marketing Strategies Exposed, where I look at some so-called marketing secrets, and give you my opinion on them.

I also plan to try and comment on/read 5 new blogs a day, to up my networking and try to meet new people.

I’d like to increase my RSS subscriptions by at least 10, that’s two per weekday, so, if you’re not subscribed yet, please do! :)

At the same time, I will also be focusing on cleaning up the noise in my inbox/hard drive, and narrow down my list of go to marketers.  This isn’t to say I don’t think I can learn from others, but, I feel it’s really good to have a core of people you learn from, otherwise you will constantly be tossed to and fro…with the next greatest product.  So, I’ll be cleaning up my inbox again, and sifting through my info products. If you didn’t catch it before, check out this post about the $599 info marketing secret. It touches on the topic a bit.

I will also start actively promoting one of my niche products.  It has nothing to do with blogging or internet marketing, but, it’s a cool product nonetheless. The product is an ebook on Hypermiling, and how to save on gas.  Some may say I shouldn’t have exposed the niche…but man, it’s no secret, we’ll see how it goes.  You can checkout the site if you wish by clicking that link.  Since this one isn’t really a case study, but a regular niche product, I don’t feel sharing the site with you can skew anything.

On top of that, I will start working on the design, and gathering the content for another new site I have been working on, IfThisBlogCouldTalk.com.  Trust me, this is a site you will definitely enjoy and want to be a part of.  The people I already have lined up will make it more than worth your while, and I am looking forward to getting started on that.  Right now, I’m just getting the infratructure in place, but keep an eye on that one.

On top of this stuff, I have the normal tasks involved with keeping the site fresh and alive, and I will be trying out different systems to streamline and make my article writing more effecient.  I’m thinking of adding a “how I make money” page, as I see them on a few of my buddies blogs, and I like the concept, we’ll see.

Lastly, there is another site/business in the works that a few of my buddies know about, I have been working on it for quite some time, and I plan to make some nice progress on it this week.  I told my mailing list I would let them know about it first, so yeah, I’m bribing you to join my list!

I will reveal it to them first and let’s just say, if you’re tired of all the high priced info products out there…..you’ll be in love with this site, trust me.  I’ve shown it to a few friends and they are excited about it.  So join the list for that one!

Well, it’s getting kind of long so I’m gonna go now.  I’m sure there is tons of stuff I forgot to mention.

I think your idea for ifthisblogcouldtalk.com is brilliant. You have obviously been doing this for a while judging by the number of blogs you already have, plus the sites you have. Me I am fairly new to it all. I like your stuff!

Thanks! I am very excited about it, and I think the readers will love it! Don’t worry about being new….I haven’t been around for that long, this blog just turned 3 months old a few days ago! I do have quite a few blogs, including some personal ones, and have been using them before actually getting into marketing, so, that may have helped

I’m glad you enjoy the blog….please stay around a while, comment when ya can :) I love interacting with my readers.

    Hey Joe,

You seem to be very clear on what you plan to do; something that is lacking in me. I’d better do some soul searching and start laying out a plan myself.

I just have a peep on IfThisBlogCouldTalk.com, I’d like what I see and I think it’s a great idea and interesting niche to be.

Hey Yan ( I’m assuming that’s your name) my plans are always changing, but, I do have a plan. I’m sure you have a plan of some sort, all you have to do is start keeping track of it.

I started writing down ideas, post topics, website ideas, everything that can help me out. It’s very easy to get caught up in it all, but, if you work towards creating a plan you’ll find things start to get done.

Check out this guest post I did on a friends blog, it kind of touches on this subject a little bit, let me know what you think.

Hey Halim, welcome! Do you remember where you read my guest post at?

Yeah, I agree that having a plan is very important to growth, even though plans change, having a set course of action works wonders for your progress.
