learning how to take advantage of authority sites in your business is a great method to syndicate your content, build backlinks, and boost your search traffic.
earlier this week I asked you to help me with hubpages, but hubpages is only one of the many authority type sites online.
I will admit, I don’t know them all, nor do I use them all.
But I see the benifit of using them, and which ones you use really depends on what you’re trying to do.
Do you have any favorite web 2.0 authority style sites you like to use or think are must use sites?
Basically, for those that don’t know, and authority site like these is one that google and other search engines pretty much live on, constantly crawiling them for new content.
So what about you? Do you suggest any for the citizens of Joeville? Got any tips to share about them?

It’s crazy, but I have never used wordpress.com even though I build most of my sites with wordpress. I forgot all about the .com. I will be sure to get back up on.
Lately, I have been getting up on hubpages because they seem to have big rank with the search engines. As long as your niche isn’t too crowded, you will find your hub dominating your keyword phrase rather quickly.
Also, have you considered using Facebook fan pages or Myspace blogs for links and the authority that they bring? Just a thought….I think I got that from the Head of the Internet, but not sure.
Anyway…..

I’m doing article marketing right now with the ezines showing the highest page rankings… Hub Pages, Squidoo and Article Base – EzineArticles has the best ranking at #185, but man do they take their sweet ass time posting articles.
All these articles point back to my Weebly site, which also has a high ranking of 1,352. For those that haven’t tried Weebly, I recommend it – in a lot of ways, it’s easier to build and post content then some of the ezines.
What I would like to know more about are these flashy terms that are being thrown around like “Viral Marketing” and “Social Bookmarking” – ways to create multiple backlinks to your site and there by increase sites page ranking for certain keywords. The more I search, the more contrast in definition I find.

Good input Shawn, I definitely use ezine articles and know weebly is good as well. I use squidoo but haven’t tried article base yet, you like it? I agree, ezine articles takes forever to get an article posted, but it’s all good.
