The Science Of Getting Rich And What I Think About It

I just finished up reading this classic book by Wallace D Wattles last week.  I’ve heard so much about it from various gurus, business people, and affluent folks the world over. Okay, I didn’t actually hear it from them…I read it! The more stories I read about successful folks, the more this and a few other books came up, so, I naturally had to get it.

What are my thoughts? Well, it was a good book.  It lined up a lot with the things I have been talking about lately, in regards to having the proper mindset for success. It’s not just about imagining something and seeing it appear out of nowhere, it talks about taking action.

Fixing your mind on success, not allowing any negative thoughts or people deter you, and operating as though you alread have it.  Being grateful for every single thing you have, and realizing their is an abundance.  Sure, some of the language was a little dated, being as this book was written many years ago.

However, the underlying theme of the book still rings true.  As with anything, you take what you need and leave the rest. I can definitely see what so many sum bees recommend this book, it gets you in the proper mindset to prepare yourself to recieve success.

You can click on the book cover if you’re interested, also, I setup a new section on the blog to hold all my books.  It’s cleverly title “Books” in the navigation menu! You know you like how I named that joint, don’t front on me, you like it huh?  You can find books I’ve read, or books I want to read over there. Checkout Joe’s Book Club.

Yeah Son! Lucky Charms are the real deal!!!

I haven’t read this particular book, but many on the subject and love it. Many people may not get d own this line of thinking, but it is very important to me. See, we are bombarded with negative, fruitless thoughts all day long. Therefore, it is critical that we make a concentrated effort to have peace, harmony, and positive thoughts in our heads all day long.

So Joe, you and your books are going to contribute to this in my life and the lives of many others.

    Good stuff!

Magically delicious son! I murdered them joints, thought about going out to buy a whole big size box lol.

You’re right man, for a while growing up, and even as an adult, I wasn’t into the whole self help, positive thought type of things. I was more of a “work for it, get it, if not, o well” type of dude.

Over the past months to a year, really at least since I’ve been trying to start my own biz, I’ve seen so much of my own negative thinking and how it’s captured my dreams! So, I’m on it man…and don’t much want to roll with negative peeps!

Let’s run sucka! You know what time it is…..(tell J to hit some chin-ups)

That was a good review man. I haven’t been around in a while so it was good to check out the blog and read up on you. I liked the example about the bike, because its true. Its like if you think about failure then you might fall for it but if you keep your eyes on the prize then you’re most likely to succeed and from someone that had his own business when I was 13, it really did work for me. With all the negative comments and stuff from people around me, I was able to turn it into a major success at a young age because I wanted to achieve a certain goal. So its not really about how much money you make or anything like that but its about what you define as success and what you do to achieve it. Great book review by the way!

Perfect example man! It all starts in the mind, without that, you won’t take the proper actions. This is a decent book, a quick read that I think anyone in business should at least take a peek at.

The law of attraction baby.. it’s everywhere and it’s flourishing! Set your mind, and take action – it’s the only natural process to accomplish anything in life. If you waste time thinking too much about “what if this” and “what if that” than you’ll eventually realize that the moment of opportunity has passed and all you’ve done is sat back and worried about making mistakes and consequences instead of setting a plan and taking action, learning from your mistakes along the way.

its funny how the positive thinking self help genre has a bad name. Yet when you read the books, I havent read science of getting rich yet, what you read rings true and has that I always sorta new that to be true kinda feeling. Know what I mean. Im currently reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. And let me tell you that dude is right on the money.
I wish more people would get hip and open up their eyes and minds and start reading instaed of watching cartoons.

Yeah, it’s a lot of common sense stuff, but also getting in touch with the conditioning you’ve been subjected to in order to overcome it.

People only move to what they are comfortable with, I like to step out of my comfort zone, as I feel that’s how breakthroughs happen.

Well, I have to say that I’m really impressed that a young guy like you has gotten into the principles of Wattles book, and of course, by extension, the principle of the Laws of Attraction. I also had to watch the video; good stuff all around. Of course, you DO know you could have downloaded it for free, since it’s in the public domain, right? :-) Great review.
