*****DISCLAIMER******* I had plans to post this last Friday…but, I didn’t get around to writing the post, only did the video. So there will be some references from last week to this week, but the content is still on point and the references are relevant, they just aren’t in the future anymore!  Haha, yall know how I do! ***********DISCLAIMER*********

That ONE Piece You Are Missing That Is Keeping You From Success

I know how it is, so many times we feel like we are so close yet so far away from where we want to be.

If we only had a little more time, if we had a little more money to invest, a little more training, more books, THAT course, etc.

Look, I’m not talking to you, maybe it’s just me….but on the real….

THAT’S A BUNCH OF CRAP!!!!!

Look man, as entrepreneurs you can’t keep thinking that the next thing is what will be a magic key for you! If you feel like you don’t have the time, resources, or whatever…..that won’t change when you get those things!

Yeah yeah, I know…you don’t like when I get on this stuff but it’s real. Once you change your mind about your situation, that’s when things happen….instead of looking at what you don’t have, or how little you have, look at it as opportunity.

If you have 30 minutes a day to devote to your business, don’t say “maaaaaaaaaaan, I only have a half hour, I can’t get nothing done”.

Switch that crap up, make it “Yo, I got 30 minutes man…what am I going to get done with it!”  You’ll be surprised how difficult this is to do!

We’ve all been programmed to be pessimistic, especially when it comes to business and things outside of our norm.

This is something we all will fight with at various times….we say ” maaaaaan I got a lot done today, IF ONLY I COULD DO THIS ALL DAY LONG”….no, don’t even entertain that!

I know many of us want to be marketers full time, but you have to work towards it…and the best way to do that is take full advantage of what you have!

Taking It To The Next Level

Yeah, you want to get to the next level, but don’t let not being there become a crutch, hindrance, or pity party for you. Make it HAPPEN. Don’t think about the what if’s, the if I onlies, or the I only haves…they keep you in a perpetual state of complaining, stagnation, and wishful dreaming.next level

Wishes and dreams are only good if accompanied by action! Without action, it’s nothin! Persistence will pay off….but you MUST change your mind on how you think about the journey….know no limitations….use everything you can to your advantage.

15 minutes, 5 hours, 8 hours….really won’t make a difference if you don’t have the proper mindset.

5 bucks, 25 bucks, or 10 thousand won’t make a difference if you don’t transform how you think about your resources!

Staying in the state of “if” will never allow you to see what you do have! You’ll never realize what you DO know….what YOU CAN DO NOW!

Aight, see ya later….let me know what you think! You know I love to hear from ya!

Oh yeah…we still in the comp with Shanon Lilly..so get out there and send folks over!

I know what you mean. I just went through a spell where I really didn’t want too do to much. The weather here was the biggest thing in my productivity. It has been dark, gloomy and very damp here which makes it cold.

Eventhough I managed to get out blog post my lack of commenting and other traffic activities have reflected in my traffic stats. It good that you have these video because it great for motivation on my part anyways.

Kust keep on making it happen Joe

Hey welcome Larry! Good to see ya! We all have these thoughts, but when we start changing how we think about them, the results are amazing. Instead of “think of what I could do if I had an extra 4 hours” we say “what can I do with the time I have now, so in the future I can have more time” lol.

    Simple action with profound results.

*lol* You’re right, though. I’m not very good at prioritizing, but I often use the “but I don’t have…” as an excuse.

Man, you really hit it dead on. I think this is something any entrepreneur can relate to, but particularly those starting out in MMO (making money online- terminology clarification for those starting out ;) )

Strangely, it doesn’t really stop! The only difference is, eventually you can afford all these things- you can afford that pricey seminar, that trip to Web Expo in Berlin, and that software that is “guaranteed” to increase your earnings. At this point, it’s a welcome luxury to be able to weigh your options and just decide which you really want (or in my case, have time for.)

My advice- take advantage of what’s free out there. As a successful MMO’er, I can tell you that all you need to know is on the web FOR FREE. Certainly other options might speed things up, and many may include some pretty valuable guru secrets, but as far as getting started and getting those earnings started, all it takes is a little smart research and time- not money.

You got it Jeni! I think there is a difference between investing in something and putting off moving forward because you feel you’d be further along “if you only had….” you know?

Of course we should invest, and continue to look to improve the situation, but we should let that stagnate our progress! Cuz you best believe I have a list of seminars, courses, gurus, and coaching programs for each level of success I reach!

Oh…we made it here…time for Kern….what…next level…one on one coaching….oh….Mr Craig Garber…I’ll be visiting you for a day…7.5K? No problem! hahahaha

You feel me? But I don’t sit around saying…”man, if I only had that Mass Control I’d be good…or if I could only go visit Craig for a day I’d be good” those are goals I work towards….the things I’ll get one day, but not gonna let it stop what I’m doing now!

It’s human nature want more, but you can’t use “not having something” as an excuse. There’s waaaaaaay too many success stories out there about people who have done extraordinary things with a LOT less opportunity than you have (YOU being whoever is reading this lol)!

I think you have a lot of wisdom and I’m glad you’re sharing it. It’s true that pessimism is very popular and we don’t always realize when we’re holding ourselves back. In fact, there’s an example in the comment before mine, by Luca (no offense, Luca). He says, ‘On secong thought there can’t be a big market for old farts like me.” And I say, “Have you heard of the baby boomer generation?” However, when it comes to my own work, I have the same issues to deal with — remembering to concentrate on what’s there, not on what I wish was there.

Hey sammich man! How are you?

This post truly speaks to what I’ve slowly to come realize and that is that change comes from within. It’s not some tool, book, class, etc. Sure, those things can help us, but it all comes down to whether or not we decide to make use of that information. It comes down to the motivation we have, the energy we need to take action.

What we sometimes end up doing is blaming our failure on that “thing” we bought, convincing ourselves it’s not us, but somebody else’s fault that we aren’t successful.

    Normal Joe (2055 comments) Reply:

No doubt Mark! Too many times we let external things dictate how we will respond, act, and move.

P.S. I just opened a large notebook and plan to use it as a daily planner and diary. I’ll try to save my time and be more productive from now onwards. :)

Nice on the notebook man! Get it done! If brands itself in your mind, and will spread like a virus into all you do. However, the same is true if you change that! Start thinking you can do it, starting making use of what you have…and everytime you have a challenge it won’t be “if I only had this” it will be ” what can I do with this now”

    Keep going Ganesh!

Yet, I made a decision all those years ago to take my shot at being independent, and when I do it right, life is good, and even when I’m not quite doing it right, life isn’t all that bad. What works for me is staying focused and having a long term goal, plan, with do able steps towards achieving them. I personally post my goals in front of me on a piece of paper so I see them everyday and dont forget what I am trying to accomplish. Im kinda like a ferret at times “oooo shiny object” (know what I mean). Onthe other hand there is a lot of good info out there about e-commerce, blogging aff marketing and the likes and yes you need to pay for it.
